GOING GREEN TOGETHER
Last year, Kroger, which owns QFC and Fred Meyer, stated they will eliminate single-use plastic bags from their stores. Starting in April, our local QFC will no longer offer single-use plastic bags. Plastic bags are not biodegradable; instead, they break down into smaller particles and contaminate our soil and waters.
Green Tip: Use Reusable Shopping Bags
Use reusable bags at grocery stores, retail stores and restaurants (for take-out)
Cotton bags are great for fruits, veggies and the bulk aisle
Keep your reusable bags at your front door or in your car so you remember to take them with you
Find bags that you love and it will make using your reusable bags more enjoyable
We would love some help from our Kindergarten parents and anyone else who would like to help with the Staff Appreciation breakfast on Wednesday, April 3rd!! SNACK ATTACK!
Our students are in need of snacks for those days they leave the house forgetting to pack one or sometimes low blood sugar can hit in the afternoon.
We are looking for donations of:
-Squeeze Apple Sauce
-Gold Fish Cracker/ other plain crackers (individually wrapped)
-Juice boxes
-Fruit leather
Any donations can be handed in to your student's teacher.

Does your family want to be a “buddy”? We are in search of families interested in being paired up with new student’s families to help them feel welcome at our school. SPRING ENRICHMENT CLASSES UPDATE
Our Spring Enrichment classes are up and running! Thank you so much to those of you who stepped up to be chaperones! You make it possible to run these programs for the students of Ella Baker.
