Keeping you in touch with tango in Australia
Dear <<First Name>>

April showers... dancing in the rain... it's that time of year and we hope it will rain in those parts of our country that are so parched they are making records. As we move into the cooler months tango professionals arrive for workshops and we discover new techniques, polish our steps and work on our dance so we can continue to discover the nuances of the wonderful music that is tango.
Change is also part of moving on - and so new tango schools arrive, old tango schools change and institutions change their modus operandi. Over my 20 years in the Australian tango scene I have seen many changes, but basically we keep exploring the music and culture and discovering new avenues...I hope to be here for another 20 years!
Meanwhile...enjoy... I am!

Yours in tango,
Carol

AUGUST 8-21, 2019

A two-week extravaganza of free concerts, classes, milongas, and tango related events.

This is your chance to hear exciting new orchestras and established artists, pick up some steps in the classes and see some of the world's most talented dancers in action - all for free at the world's biggest tango festival in the heart of Buenos Aires.

Qualifying rounds are held in May. Australian schools no longer send couples to compete so if you are interested in taking part you will need to do your research on where and how you can do this - and you will probably need to move to Buenos Aires for a few months!
