What a FINTASTIC week we had! We chalked up our first win of the season against Camelot on Saturday, winning 219-200. Congratulations to everyone who played a role in securing that win! I find it interesting that we had twenty 3rd place finishes, each worth one point. If only half of those 20 FMW swimmers NOT placed third, we would have lost the meet! It just goes to show that winning a meet isn't about isn't about who is touching the wall first, but who is also touching 2nd and 3rd. It truly is a team effort!
Looking forward to another fun week ahead of us with the Developmental Meet at home on Monday, Vienna Relays on Thursday, and our first away meet against Old Keene Mill on Saturday. Keep up the good work Finstatics!!
Lap-a-thon
Please continue to turn in any outstanding pledges this week. Julie Sewall is out of town this week, so please give your envelopes to Coach Melissa. Many Concession Bucks were already handed out at the pep rally; the remaining will be awarded once your $50 minimum is turned in. If you need to make up a swimming portion of the Lap-a-thon, please email Coach Melissa to find a time to do so.

Our next Dual Meet on Saturday is away against Old Keene Mill Swim and Racquet Club 9534 Orion Ct, Burke, 22015.
We will meet at 7:10am at Navy Elementary School (3500 West Ox Rd, Fairfax, VA 22033), depart by 7.30am and caravan to the pool together. The Team will then walk in together at 7.50am and Warm-ups are at 8.20am.
Please check in with one of the Dual Meet Reps when you arrive. If you are not planning to caravan please email the Reps to let them know.
Please respond to Larry & Janell if you are not available by Monday at 9.00pm.

This year's FMW Fintastics are using the photo sharing site called SmugMug. We're confident the change will improve everyone's enjoyment of the season! Images uploaded to SmugMug are password protected and available to parents in their original full resolution. There is no cost for your use of SmugMug or downloading as many photos as you wish to enjoy! There is also an APP that could be used similarly.

Fox Mill Woods will be taking part in the 43nd Annual Vienna Relays Wednesday, July 4th, 2018 at Vienna Aquatic Club (625 Marshall Rd SW, Vienna, VA 22180)
Please plan to arrive at 8:45 am but parking can be difficult so plan accordingly FMW warm-ups begin at 9:00am and events start at 9.30am.
Additional parking will be available at Vienna Baptist Church and Marshal Road Elementary School (both short walks from the pool). Limited neighborhood parking may be available, but please heed no parking signs and do not block driveways
PEP RALLY
This week's Pep Rally theme is COLOR WARS - more details to follow....so watch this space!
Swimmers will enjoy hot dogs for dinner and pep talk from the coaches. Families, please bring a picnic-style dinner for yourselves and an item to share.
All the fun begins Friday, July 7 @ 6PM.

FAMILY RELAYS & PICNIC
Mark your diary for the 7th Annual Family Relays and Picnic - Saturday July 13 at 11.30AM.
Following our last home Dual Meet, we will host the FMW Family Relays & Lunch. All FINTASTICS are encouraged to come out for this photo-op-worthy event! Teams of four (presumably all family, but sometimes swimmers are adopted by other families for this purpose!) will compete in freestyle and non-traditional relay events. Each team must have at least one adult to participate! Following relays, all are invited to stay for lunch.
