We have had a very busy start to Spring! We took possession of our new home March 21st and “hit the ground running”. The house was built in 1930-40's so the walls were thick cardboard and the insulation was wood chips held up by pine board. The attic had a little blown in insulation. All that “insulation” was removed in the first week. Tomorrow we start building a dormer on the one side of the house. Because of the age of the house, the building inspector will not grandfather in the renovations so we have to build the walls to today’s standards. Many of you know that Anthony is 6’5” so he won’t fit in the bedroom without the structural changes to the bedroom area. We have had a few men in the community already come out and help. If you would like to come and join them just let us know! We have to move out of our current place by June 30th so any time before that would be great!!!
Again, God’s timing is perfect. We were able to take possession of our house and make needed renovations while still carrying on with our ministry requirements because of our local focus during the winter months. If we had taken possession just a couple of months later in the year, the renovations would have to had to wait an entire year. We thank God.
Over March we were down in south-western Ontario for Daystar’s annual Summit conference. While there, we also met with 2 churches, three different groups of supporters and a few family members. We had a lovely time with both sets of Anthony’s grandparents as well.
I had a great time down in Oshawa this past week speaking at Calvary Baptist Church. It was great to get reacquainted with so many old friends and share God’s faithfulness.
