Pay it Forward,
the City Fresh way!

Do you believe a single random good deed can change the world for the better? What about 10 million deeds? This is precisely the goal that the Pay it Forward initiative has set for this year’s celebration on April 28.

As you probably know, the idea behind Pay it Forward is that one person’s generosity toward another will not only benefit but inspire the recipient, thus creating a ripple effect of kindness.

Would you like to join this initiative, the City Fresh way? Here are some ideas for you:

  • Add a donation to your order of City Fresh shares. City Fresh is one of the most affordable nonprofit CSAs in Northeast Ohio. When you donate, you contribute to spread our Food Justice mission by allowing us to offer tiered prices to lower-income families and individuals.

  • Order some shares in pre-season. City Fresh does not ask you to commit to the full season as most of CSAs do, but when you pre-order -- even just a few shares -- you are helping the small farmers in your community plan for the season and continue delivering the fresh and nutritious veggies you love

  • Share the City Fresh mission with your friends. Forward this message to your contacts and/or send us the names and email addresses of those who may be interested in joining City Fresh. They will start receiving our weekly newsletter including share contents, updates, and recipes throughout the season.

Pay it forward now and share your good deed in social media to inspire as many people as possible on April 28. Let's #StandForKindness on #PayItForwardDay, the City Fresh way!

Volunteering is Paying it Forward Too

Did you know that City Fresh is powered by the generosity and passion of volunteers? Each week, folks donate their time and talents to run Fresh Stops and promote food justice in their communities. We’re always on the lookout for new energy and ideas and we’d love your help! Join us this season!
