APRIL eNEWS

It is amazing how time can move slowly and quickly all at the same time. In some ways it feels like I haven’t been apart from CAYU at all, and in other ways, everything feels brand new... in any case, I am back, and I am so excited. Re-joining the team in the capacity of Director of Family Engagement, (an expansion of the Stepping Stones Director role),  I am looking forward to walking with the amazing team at CAYU as we strengthen and expand our work with pregnant and parenting youth throughout Central Alberta, and as we develop and implement new programs that strengthen families as a whole. It is such a privilege to be back - it is a bit like coming home!

As a counsellor for youth and families in our programs here at CAYU, I know that God has placed me in this role for a purpose. As I was praying for a client, I suddenly became aware of God's intense love and compassion for this young individual. I was blown away as God imparted His desire to connect with this person. I realized how important it is for me to have the right posture so He can use me as a conduit to touch those individuals that He is allowing me to walk alongside. I want Him to use me to show His intense love to others.
