EASTER SUNDAY

Tonight we enter into the Triduum, three liturgies that follow the story of Jesus from the Last Supper and foot washing through to the empty tomb and resurrection on Easter.  Tonight, we invite you to join us at 6pm for a light meal and worship, Good Friday at 10:30am, for a family-friendly Way of the Cross, 8pm Holy Saturday for the Vigil of Easter, and 10:30am Sunday for the first Eucharist of Easter.

Weekly Bulletin Announcements
Expanded Holy Week events and observances:  This year we are both expanding and reviving traditions in Holy Week.  Thanks to Bente, Jamie, and Lauren for their willingness to host the light supper before the Maundy Thursday service.  On Good Friday, we're expanding the Way of the Cross with kids to include receiving the bread and wine from Reserved Sacrament.  Some Christians find this deeply meaningful, while other Christians find their piety is best expressed by abstaining from the sacrament on Good Friday.  We invite you to participate as you feel called.  On Holy Saturday, we are adding an Easter Egg Hunt to engage and welcome members of our local community.  We are also bringing back the tradition of the Easter Vigil, hosting one here at St Augustine's and focusing primarily on telling the story of salvation history with drama and song.  Thanks to members of the planning team, Bente, Jamie, Judie, Lauren, Patricia, and Marcus for their work.

Community Easter Egg Hunt On Saturday, April 20, we're hosting an Easter Egg hunt at 11:00 am and we need your help! Sign up sheets are now posted or speak with Megan. On the day of, we need members of the parish on hand to help facilitate the event and more importantly, greet and welcome our neighbours. We also need participants! If you have children in your life, (kids, grandkids, godchildren, nieces/nephews, neighbours) please invite them to come and take part and join in the fun with them. All the costs to host the event are covered by the Reach Grant funds we received for community programming projects for 2018-19.

Re-Launching Your Life with Meaning:  The churches in midtown Toronto are sponsoring a joint education program. The focus is for people navigating the transition to retirement. Please see the poster below for details. Registration is open to members from St Augustine's. Space is limited to 30 participants, so please register early to secure your spot. The sessions will be hosted by Christ Church Deer Park near Yonge and St Clair.

The Groove Room is looking for new performers. Don't be shy, come on out and play. Invite any musical friends to come and play. It is a very supportive venue that is especially kind to first time performers. You can contact Mike Rapson at mkrapson@gmail.com
