The Paralegal profession is growing!

"Behind every great lawyer is a great paralegal " is a phrase scrawled on many magnets and coffee mugs around the country. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the paralegal profession expects a 15 percent growth between 2016 - 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations. This means over 41,000 new paralegal positions in the next 10 years!  Becoming a Paralegal is a great option for individuals who are interested in law but don't want to endure the lengthy process of becoming a lawyer.  Plus, like lawyers, paralegals can specialize in certain types of law, such as criminal, corporate, immigration and family.

MSU's Center for Continuing Education online Paralegal Certificate Program, offered in partnership with ed2go will prepare you for success in this growing career field. You'll learn about the U.S. legal system, how to conduct legal research, legal analyses, and more. This course will train you to become a Legal Secretary or Paralegal and prepare you to take the certification exam.
