Mary saddles up for new Round Ireland feat for RNLI
At an age when the rest of us would be putting our feet up, veteran marathon runner Mary Nolan Hickey raised €72,000 for the RNLI when she completed a 1,507 mile circuit around the Irish coast. This Sunday — a year to the day since crossing that finish line in Arklow — the 66-year-old will be setting off from the same lifeboat station on Lap of the Map II, this time on a bike. Read how Mary sees the challenge as “unfinished business for the lifeboat crews”, in our story here, and help her break the €100,000 barrier by donating on her everydayhero page.
