The 2020 California
Psilocybin Decriminalize & Research Initiative

Hello,

My name is Ryan Munevar and I am the Campaign Manager for Decriminalize California and together we are going to try to Decriminalize Psychedelic Mushrooms by submitting a citizens initiative to be placed on the ballot for November 3, 2020 elections.

As of today's Newsletter, that is approximately 573 days from now and though it may seem like a lot of time it is not.

Below is the current open source draft of the campaign language, the timeline, the required number of signatures, and the California Health and Safety laws that need to be changed.

We need 997,139 valid signatures just to get the initiative on the ballot and 50% +1 vote to win the November election.

Luckily for us, there is a little known fact that if you get 25 California Registered Voters to sign a sheet then we can get the State of California’s Legislature Office to provide assistance in the final drafting stages.

We will also be holding meetings in Northern California(Bay Area), the Central Coast(Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Luis Obispo) and the South(Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego).

So check out the language below, make comments, and join us at one of the next campaign strategy meetings.

Peace,
-Ryan Munevar
