As academic semesters come to a close, we head into the summer with several new IndoorChem research papers, research endeavors, and media features. Thanks for being here!
Project Highlight: ICHEAR
"Among the many sources of pollution in indoor environments are human beings themselves. Emissions via breath and skin represent mobile, potent, chemically diverse and highly variable sources of reactive chemicals in indoor spaces. The project ICHEAR aims to comprehensively characterize the chemical impact of human beings, the single common element in all living spaces." Learn More
Social Media Highlight: Our top tweet so far in the month of May: "Just a reminder your ferns and philodendron aren’t purifying the air, neither are the Himalayan salt lamps, but there are some actual air purifiers out there to help improve your indoor air quality. #IAQ#indoorair#airquality" Follow us at @IndoorChem
"Time‐resolved measurements in the living space exhibited baseline levels far above outdoor levels for most VOCs; many compounds also displayed patterns of intermittent short‐term enhancements (spikes) well above the indoor baseline."
