The Maytime Muses
Celebrate Glorious Spring

Welcome to all of the new friends who have joined us at the building for recent events, and signed-up for this monthly newsletter. We love staying in touch, and hope you will visit our website often to see what's on the boards. For instance, there is one more week in the art gallery of the phenomenal exhibit "Spirits of the Earth & Earth Stewards" featuring the art of David Vala, and then next week the original works of Henk Pander will be installed as part of the annual two week Vanport Mosaic Festival.

May is our birthday month, and we are ten years old. We've just arrived from the waters of a beautiful waking dream - our anniversary gala The Ten Spoke Wheel - where we dedicated an arbor of trees to devoted supporters, and announced our remarkable new green ideas and ecology programming. We'll tell you all about that in our upcoming newsletter, in just two weeks' time on June 1st. Stay tuned for the scintillating details of the reveal.
The Ten Spoke Wheel
Our 10th Anniversary Gala

Cerimon House turned ten years old,
and the room was full to the brim with love and light.

The Ten Spoke Wheel gala, which took place on May 11th, was a thing of beauty thanks to all of the designers & planners, staff & volunteers, chefs & producers, and even The Muses themselves. Yes! The famed "Nine Sisters" were awakened at each table, channeled through a bevy of remarkable actors: Dawn Lisell, Gretchen Rumbaugh, Molly Noble, Jennifer Le Blanc, Robin Chilstrom, MaryAnn Rogers, Kathryn Blume, Emily Sahler, and Jo Pierce.

Emcees Emily Sahler & Paul Susi thrilled the crowd with their wit and whimsy, the silent auction was a bidding bonanza, the live auction was an animated delight, and Randall Stuart's two big reveals were worth the price of admission. All-in-all this fundraiser was a "watershed" moment for Cerimon House, and we hope you will plan to be at the next one. An entire arbor of trees were dedicated in thanks, to: Charlotte Colavin, Kevin Miserocchi, Sharon Nielson, Keith Pitt, Kevin Yell, Gemma Whelan, Stephanie & Laura Mulligan, Jennifer & Gregg Le Blanc, Linda Orrick, Eliza Ladd, Andy McCone, Gretchen Rumbaugh, Paul J. Susi, The Patton Family, Bob Guilbault & Molly Noble, Joey Copsey, Jo Pierce, and Robin Chilstrom.

May we have the pleasure of your company:

The weather in Portland has turned to a light Spring rain, and so what could be more perfect than coming in to warm your heart at our hearth?

It's our Birthday Buoy!

Cerimon House turns ten. We happily recall our first five years as an organization "on-the-float", and we celebrate the last fascinating five years with the acquisition of a building, completing a full renovation of our first floor, and the active use of the mighty vessel for so many community and artful celebrations. There is more to do, and as the guests at our recent Gala event heard, we are rolling-out a full spectrum of programming that focuses on Ecology and our dear & gracious Earth.

Every level of donation/gift helps to get us closer to our many invigorating goals, especially since the programming going forward is so vital. We're honored to "lean in" and provide the place & space for these conversations and opportunities to exist. We know that all of humanity is in the balance. It's time.

Please consider donating to us at this birthday time - using the button below.

And if you simply love multiples of ten? = join our enthusiastic friends in The Threshold Society, who, by pledging $85 a month, deliver their total gift of $1,000 in increments that span the whole calendar year, which helps us each month in such a profound way. [To sign up for this program, click here.]
