I Choose Europe -  Barcelona Event 

The event “I chose Europe Debates & Concerto” will take place on 26th of April at ESCI-UPF School of International Studies in Barcelona. This event is an initiative of our partner Union of European Federalists and is co-organised with garagErasmus,  Federalistes d’Esquerres, UEF Spain, Young European Federalists, Erasmus Student Network Spain and with the support of the European Commission programme Europe for Citizens and ESCI-UPF School of International Studies. “I Choose Europe: debates and concert!” is open to citizens, civil society organisations.
The "I choose Europe” campaign calls citizens who believe in the European unity to come out and vote, to speak up for the Europe they want, expressing their choice for a Strong, Democratic, Social and Federal Europe.
You can register to the event by 24th April.

garagErasmus General Assembly

We are glad to announce that our Annual Meeting will be held in Malaga (Spain) from the 6th to the 7th of June, hosted by the University of Malaga. The event is going to be the occasion to create synergies among our foundations members (Universities, Private Companies and Local Associations), present our work to our institutional stakeholders (National Agencies, European Parliament and European Commission) and create new opportunities for the future of international students, trainees and young professionals. 2018 has been a milestone for the foundation: we got four European grants approved and we are ready to implement the activities. The agenda of the meeting will be shared with the official invitation and registration link in the upcoming weeks, but the main point of discussion will be to highlights of our activities along 2018-2019 and plan the activities for the next months, selection of the best Erasmus talent of the year (Golden Laissez-Passer), the Talents Match and more.

Conference: Erasmus+ Global Partnerships

From May 22nd to May 24th in Bangkok, Thailand, a conference will be held focus thematics such as education, peace, sustainability, and global citizenship. This event will assemble Erasmus+ Alumni, youth organizations, start-ups, and researchers to facilitate young people in building coalitions, exchanging perspectives in a cross and inter-disciplinary setting, and developing sustainable grassroots solutions. 
The specifics objectives are to: 
- Develop and reinforce alliance among young people through knowledge transfer and dialogue between Asia and the European Union inter and cross-disciplinary fields, sustained avenues for exchange programs and online networking opportunities for North-South, South-South, and triangulation cooperation. 
- Facilitate the access to the ERASMUS + program for the universities, researches, and youth NGOs;
- Define recommendation for international and national donors about the way to improve support for youth and youth-focused organizations in order to strengthen their work towards the SDGs.

 garagErasmus4Yerevan on TV!

The Armenian TV program "Barev Yekir" interviewed Gevorg Harutyunyan, president of garagErasmus4Yerevan over their media educational project in Armenia "Edu VanHub". The project consists of promoting the use of media for disadvantaged families by going to small villages.
The interviewers asked about the story behind this idea and Gevorg told that the idea came up to him in 2015 when he and his friends made some  theatrical performances in Armenian poor villages. After that he had an opportunity to participate in a competition in Milan (Laissez-Passer 2018) where he presented this idea and was among the finalists. After that he presented the idea in Vienna , Moscow and Yerevan. Then he told that some months ago he came back to Armenia , founded garagErasmus4Yerevan organization which is the city chapter of garagErasmus foundation and after some time garagErasmus4Yerevan got funded for implementing this project.

WE AfriHug 2019 - East Africa 

From February 18th to April 4th, the winner of the Golden Laissez-Passer 2018, Konstantinos Maragkos and his team have organized seminars in Uganda and Ethiopia. The goals were to shape participants to the use of some computer tools as Canva, to learn more about project management and communication, and about the Erasmus+ program. They also gave information relevant civil society organisations.
These meetings have reached 122 youth workers and grassroots practitioners from more than 50 organizations and more than 615 people from board members, academic staff and students.

ESAA Selected Projects 

As part of the ESAA Project 2019, 44 projects have been selected in order to support collaboration between ESAA Member Organisations and advance ESAA’s mission. Projects take place all over the world and they have to respond to one of the topics as regards to,  Strengthening Higher Education Quality, Spreading Erasmus+ and Widening Participation, Increasing Social Inclusion, Empowerment, and Participation or Capacity Building.
