. . . And So We Pray: Guidance for Moms with College-Aged Young Adults by Maribeth Harper
"Anticipation" of, or for something ... Waiting for our children to return home for Summer Break, wondering how best to be welcoming (with God's help and some fortitude). Does this gentle anxiety stop us from enjoying the "moment" of their return, or separate us from allowing the Holy Spirit to work within us? Praying College Moms exists to help us manage the inevitable changes (good or bad) that our young adults trigger in our families.
If you or your closest friends haven't yet ordered . . . And So We Pray, NOW is the time. The book is the perfect Mother's Day or Graduation gift! Published in August 2018, author Maribeth Harper offers 33 chapters to read and reflect upon. Weaving sound Catholic doctrine with real life stories shared by women of faith, . . . And So We Pray is ready to accompany moms. Available at Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle.

Reflections On Our February Prayer Retreat with Martha and Mary; Balancing Prayer with Life…Seeking Joy in Jesus’ Presence
Martha and Mary are two women we know very well from the Bible. Their sisterly tussle is one we easily identify with! Two Bible passages (Luke 11:38-42 and John 12:1-8) about them provided a stimulating theme for Praying College Moms, who often are tempted to “over-Martha” our young adults. Twenty-two women gathered on Saturday, February 16, at Mount Tabor Retreat House in Vienna, VA, for mass with Father Bill Quigley. Afterwards they were led into contemplative prayer by Frances Chamberlin, Secular Carmelite of the Discalced Order, and Maribeth Harper, author of ... And So We Pray: Guidance for Moms with College-Aged Young Adults. This was followed by small and large group discussions, and then adoration of the Eucharist.
Maribeth reassured the retreatants: “Jesus takes and absorbs as much as you can worry. Turn back to Him. You do have a choice. There is time.” Francis added: ”Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Mt. 11: 28. One can hear Jesus saying this to us Marthas, who strive to know God as Mary did!”
