Jesus told them, “Go back and tell John what you have heard and seen—the blind see, the lame walk, those with leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor.”
On November 23, I was scheduled to lead a story telling program in a remote village.
Early in the morning as I was on my way there, a woman stopped me. She said, "Sir, a woman here in our village is possessed by demons. Please come and pray for her."
When I got to the house and met the woman's family, I learned that she had died during the night. They were so overwhelmed with grief they couldn't even carry on a normal conversation.
So I asked them to listen to a story, about the man who was paralyzed for 38 years (John 5).
Afterward I prayed for the woman, and while I was praying, she began laughing and trembling. The spirit that was in her was saying, "I will not go. I will not go!"
I asked, "Do you know Jesus?"
The demon in her replied, "I know Jesus, but I am not able to fight with him."
I said, "I am the servant of Jesus Christ and I command you in Jesus' name to come out from here. Leave her in Jesus' name."
We prayed some more and then left to go to the village where we were scheduled to have the storytelling training.
After finishing our all-day program, we went back to the first village. This time I took another field leader along with me. Before going into the house, we prayed together outside.
When we prayed for the woman again, that demon spirit left her!
This is how we are using the storytelling method to share the gospel. God is doing miracles in many places, especially in the most remote mountainous areas. In my division, during 2018, forty-one new believers have taken water baptism.
Praise to the Lord for all he is doing. Please pray for our ministry.
