Every 10 years, the United States conducts a count of all citizens & residents, known as the U.S. Census. This count is used by the federal government to disburse grants and other federal funds based on each city, county and state's population. The results of U.S. Census are also used to draw maps of voting districts. The 2020 Census will have a huge effect on the future of South Fulton. The count will determine funding for construction of new schools, and programs like housing assistance and food stamps.
President Trump has proposed funding cuts and other changes to the U.S. Census that could make it harder for some cities to get an accurate count of their residents. As a result, many cities have already begun preparing for the 2020 Census, including South Fulton. The U.S. Census office has already begun hiring paid part-time & full-time workers to help with the counting of citizens.
You can earn up to $20 per hour helping to ensure every person living in South Fulton gets counted! Read more about how the Census works and apply for Census jobs at the links below. Tell hiring supervisors that South Fulton Councilman khalid sent you. |
