Reminder: 'Buddhist Wisdom' Today at 5:00

Our next "Second Sundays" gathering is today at Elk Haven Wellness Center (100 Elks Club Road, off Park Ave. in Brevard).

Join us at 5:00 for "Buddhist Wisdom for Non-Buddhists" presented by Amy Goldweber, Director of the Retreat Center at Heartwood Refuge in Hendersonville. This event is open to all, regardless of background. Donations to defray costs will be accepted at the door.

We will gather at 5:00 p.m. for a time of informal socializing, beverages and light snacks. The presentation begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by questions and conversation at 6:00 p.m. We're done at 6:30.

Amy will offer her personal take on the wisdom of the Buddha for those who would like to hear more about this ancient-yet-modern path. Although Buddhism originated six centuries before the birth of Jesus, many in our Western culture are unfamiliar with its practical approach to life and spirituality. Regardless of your background, all are welcome to listen, learn, and participate. The host for the Second Sundays series is Mary Marinucci, associate at Center for Spiritual Wisdom.

Notes from Nature Retreat Sat., May 4th

Our friend Angie Stegall led a wonderful event for us months ago, and she's doing it again. If you missed her "Notes from Nature" workshop at Elk Haven or would like to go deeper, here's your chance to experience Angie's wisdom (expressed beautifully in her book of the same name).
Registration is limited to guarantee a high-quality experience for participants.
