It's good to have finishes to share! The first, Nine of Ten, was begun in a Planned and Unplannedclass with Melanie Tuazon at QuiltCon. I very nearly tossed the blocks I'd brought home with me, but luckily decided to give them a chance, and whipped up this little piece in a bit of a creative fury.
And then Rework was the result of some triangle blocks I actually made back in January! I had high hopes, but then totally lost all love for them. The blocks were about to be discarded when it came to me that I should slice them up and see what happened. Kinda weird that both of these projects were a disappointment for a time, then turned around to become finishes I was really happy with. Rethinking a project often brings new (and better!) results. Note to self!
And lastly, following the news of the passing of Gwen Marston last week, I thought it was a lovely gesture that Quiltfolkmagazine shared their feature on Gwenfrom the Michigan issue. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I did.
ROUND-UP
Folks seem to be really upping their game when it comes to their quilt photography, and I for one, love it! I'll let these beauties speak for themselves. Enjoy!
