Thank you to everyone that attended the Orchestra fundraiser, which was a fantastic success! It was a beautiful night filled with even more beautiful music. All of the proceeds from the fundraiser allow the orchestra to continue providing music to the Gold Coast community.
APRIL: Matilda's Quest Performance
LESS THAN 2 WEEKS UNTIL MATILDA'S QUEST!!
18th April at 11am - Bill Deacon Pavillion, Mudgeeraba Showgrounds
115 Mudgeeraba Road, Worongary

$15 Admission

Join Matilda as she embarks on her most important quest yet... What to become when she grows up! An engineer? A scientist? A ballerina? A classical musician? These are the difficult decisions for young Matilda!

The story of Matilda's Quest is a great introduction to classical music, and through a fun story children will learn a variety of basic musical concepts. This fun and engaging story is enhanced by contemporary and well-loved classics performed by the GCCO; conducted by Dr Warwick Potter, written and performed by Kellie Wilson, and introducing Georgia Ogge as 'Matilda'.

Tickets are still available at www.gcco.com.au/ticketsLimited tickets will be available at the door (cash only) for this event.

MAY: Autumn Serenade Octet Performance
LESS THAN A MONTH AWAY!
Sunday 5th May , 2:30pm - St Peters Anglican Church
83 Nerang Street, Southport

$20 - Adult, $15 - Concession, $5 - Students

The orchestra presents the Octet from within its ranks in collaboration with mezzo soprano Madison Eastwood,  accompanied by Luke Sharp on piano. They will present some classical arias along with music theatre hits such as Handel’s “Angels Ever Bright And Fair” and “I Dreamed A Dream” from “Les Miserables”. The centrepiece of the Octet’s program is the richly harmonious Octet for Strings by German composer, Max Bruch. Other popular pieces include the hauntingly beautiful “Schindler’s List”.

Luke is responsible for the music-making at St Peter’s Anglican Church and the GCCO is very grateful to the church for the rehearsal and performance space they so kindly offer us.

Tickets can be purchased at www.gcco.com.au/tickets for this event. Limited tickets will be available at the door (cash only).

If you have never attended one of the orchestra's performances, this is a fantastic one to attend!
