New AICC Council Members 
 

Dr Katrina Prescott and Tracy Jardine have recently stepped down from their positions on the AICC Council.  We thank them both for all their hard work.     

We welcome two new members to the AICC Council, Dr John Dean (Consultant in Clinical Genetics) and Rachel Walker (Nurse Specialist). 

 

Adult Cardiovascular Pathology Course
13th-14th June 2019, London

This course approaches the practical problems that face the diagnostic pathologist when dealing with cardiovascular pathology, which is the most common cause of death in the western world today.

The approach to a cardiac autopsy, cardiac anatomy and cardiac dissection will be emphasized.  Topics covered include: sudden cardiac death, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies, inherited cardiac disease, myocarditis and post-operative deaths.

Updates on Prevention  of Sudden Cardiac Death in Athletes
15th April 2019, London


King's College London and the Texas Heart Institute are hosting an innovative international meeting dedicated to the urgent need to reform Preventive Health services for athletes. The Symposium is collecting important leaders from different backgrounds to discuss the current state of Sport Cardiology and attempt to propose a new standard.  More information can be found here.
