As summer approaches, this is a great time to think about teacher gifts, graduation gifts, summer activities, etc. For a list of participating retailers, you can go to https://shop.shopwithscrip.com/Shop/Product or view the list via the attached pdf file.  We will also have a few copies of the merchant list by the parent mailboxes in the HERO Activity Center. Take note of merchants you use regularly. Choose which gift cards you would like to purchase. You will see that many vendors offer gift cards of various dollar increments. Please indicate which value you want and how many you want in each amount. The rebate % is the profit percentage that HERO will earn from each sale.  

The company we currently use doesn’t have specific order forms, so people have been placing their orders one of two ways.  One option is to simply print out the merchant list and circle which cards you’d like and how many in each denomination.  Other people have chosen to write out a list and include that with their payment.  Place your completed order request with payment in the payment lock box above the field trip folders.  Please indicate that it is a gift card order on the envelope.  Orders and payment are due by 4:00 on Tuesday, April 23rd.  Once we collect all the orders, we will submit one large order and payment to the Great Lakes Scrip Center.  They will mail out the gift cards to us in a timely manner.  We hope to have them ready to distribute at HERO within 2 weeks after the sale closing date.  If you have friends or family members who like to purchase gift cards to give as gifts, or use for their regular shopping, we would be happy for you to mention this program to them.  If they place their order through us, they get their same gift cards to use or give, and we get the profit.  You can make a copy of the merchant list and turn it in with their payment to HERO - please be sure to include your name as the contact person.  

The Scrip program is a simple and effective fundraising program.  In previous years, HERO has made close to $900 through gift card sales.  We hope we can count on your support!

Crown College will be at HERO on Monday, April 15th for a Parents & Student Information workshop on PSEO. Time: 9:00 - 10:30.  If you have a ninth, tenth, or eleventh grader who is considering PSEO through Crown College, you will not want to miss this workshop!
