Festival 2019 - Booking Now Open

Bookings are now open open for Festival 2019.  Over the weekend of 7 - 9 June 2019, 27 walks will explore Corsham and the surrounding area, and once again there will be a quiz and buffet held in the Springfield Campus on the Saturday evening (8 June 2019).  Ticket prices remain unchanged at £4/£5 for the walks and £12 for the quiz and buffet.

You can book tickets:
  • Online via the Corsham Walking Festival website;
  • or by visiting The Pound Arts Centre, Pound Pill, Corsham, Wiltshire SN13 9HX or Phone 01249 710628.  Box Office opening hours Mon - Fri, 1000 - 1800; Sat, 1000 - 1600.
Places on all walks - including the free walks - must be booked in advance.  A reminder that when booking for the Children's Treasure Hunt, you only need to book a place for the child/children taking part - not for any accompanying adults!

Bookings for individual walks will close when the walk capacity has been reached and at latest by 1400 on the day preceeding the walk.  Bookings for the Quiz and Buffet will close on Friday 31st May so that we can finalise numbers for the catering; dietary requirements should be notified during the booking process.

If you are interested in taking part in a particular walk, I would encourage you to book early.  In 2018, nine walks were fully booked by the end of April.  That said, I would ask walkers to only book places for walks on which they expect to take part.  Last year, nearly 22% of booked places were not utilised on the day of the walk.  Not only is this frustrating for the relevant walk leader who is expecting to lead a full walk, but it potentially denies a place to other walkers who do want to take part.

Details of the Festival programme can be found in the brochures which have been distributed widely in the local area; more detailed descriptions of each walk can be found on the website as can the full Terms and Conditions.  Please pay particular attention to the start and end point for each walk.  Although most walks depart/return to the Springfield Campus, a number will utilise other locations eg SAT8 - Circular Route through the Avon and Frome Valleys which starts/finishes in Bradford on Avon.

Best foot forward
