Interbeing Sangha

Weekly Meeting

Please join us for our next weekly gathering, taking place Sunday, April 21st for meditation and dharma sharing, 6:30pm at Unitarian Place (Kingston Unitarian Fellowship), 206 Concession Street. Keith Gawronski-McNinch will be bell minding.
In Touch with Peace

"Peace is present right here and now, in ourselves and in everything we do and see. Every breath we take, every step we take, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity. The question is whether or not we are in touch with it. We need only to be awake, alive in the present moment."

― Thich Nhat Hanh, Peace Is Every Step: The Path of Mindfulness in Everyday Life

Retreat Preparation

Gift Baskets

Dear friends, as our spring retreat draws closer, we are putting together gift baskets for the dharma teachers who are travelling from Ottawa to offer us their time, talents, and experience in leading dharma talks and other sessions. We hope to offer gifts from our local region and from our hands, so if you have any skills at making things or any thoughts of other items we can include in our gifts of gratitude to our dharma teachers, please contact Linda Belisle (vinolou.belisle@gmail.com). Much gratitude to all who have worked so hard on putting together this retreat.
The Paradise of Sight

"I want to tell you a story. It is about a friend who lost his eyesight in a car accident. His world is entirely one of darkness, all the time. Do you know what he told me? He said that if he could see again, he would be in paradise. How I wish I could fulfill his wish. If I cannot help him, at least I can share his insight with you: Do not wait until you lose your eyesight before knowing how happy you can be just by opening your eyes. You have excellent eyes, and each time you open them a marvelous paradise of forms and colors appears."

Our sangha has two teams helping to share leadership and facilitation of our meetings. Our Bell Minders Team are mindful facilitators for our weekly gatherings, as well as retreats, taking beautiful care of our friends in the practice including the bell. Our Sangha Care Team facilitates sangha care meetings, plans retreats, minds our library and resources, and coordinates outreach. If you are interested in helping with either or both, contact interbeingkingston@gmail.com for more information.
