Awakening Mother Earth
Mother Earth is awakening. She stretches her arms up high arching her body, giving space for her blood and fire to again, pulse through her body. She moves slowly and intentionally, allowing the increasing warmth to breathe life back into her. She was not sleeping. Merely resting, awaiting the right moment to push through the Earth.
And the earth is rebirthed..
In springtime something within the core of the earth is awakened as the light within us is ignited. It's a time of freshness and new beginnings, internally and externally. As we breathe light into our lungs, we instinctively are drawn to reacquaint ourselves with Mother earth. I know I am! Our attention turns from the white stuff falling from the sky, to the tiny green shoots or patches that peek through the ground. Boots come off and shoes go on as we step onto her newly birthed blanket.
When you think deeply about it, Spring is such a rich metaphor for life.
As many of you know, I am a strong supporter of natural Earthing as a means of healing and grounding.
It is also a beautiful way to directly connect to the energy of the Earth for all you Earth empaths! Earthing is a regular healing practice and something I encourage for my Reiki clients as a part of their mindfulness practice.
What is Earthing? Simply stated, it's connection to the earths surface. And in a time where humankind is struggling with their connectedness and care to and for our planet, an essential practice.
The Sceience of Earthing - the theory is that our bodies are meant to come into contact with the Earth ( a grounding force) on a regular basis. Positive electrons in the form of free radicals can build up in our bodies and direct contact with the ground, balances this out as it is a negative grounding charge. Our bodies and cells have electrical energy, and especially with the high prevalence of electromagnetic waves, wifi and mobile phone waves, many of us have high amounts of positive electrons built up in our bodies.
The benefits of regular Earthing?
- reduction of inflammation
- helps chronic pain
- improves sleep
- increases ki or energy
- lowers stress and depression
- helps normalize biological rhythms including circadian rhythm
- improves blood pressure
- naturally balances the Chakras as respresented through the feet
So I invite you to find a little patch of grass, ground or gravel and go for a stand. Breathe in deeply from the deep core roots of Mother Earth, feel her heartbeat as it moves through your legs all the way up to your Crown.
And say thank you to Her.

Reiki Level Two is designed for those who have completed First Degree Reiki, have become acquainted with and practiced the technique and wish to take their understanding, skill set and practice to a new depth. Reiki Level One opens you up to the Journey of Reiki, Reiki Level Two, builds on and intensifies the energy and its applications.
Throughout the two days you will:
* Receive three level two Reiki Attunments
* connect with a crystal you can learn to use in your healings
*review the Reiki Precepts
*Learning three Sacred Reiki Symbols (Power, Mental/Emotional, *Time/Distance Symbols) learning to connect with them in a uniquely creative way
* utilizing them in healing work
*Learn how to scan the energy body (Scanning)
*Learn how to do Distance Reiki Sendings
*Breathing and meditation techniques to increase the flow of Ki in
your body "Dry Bath' cleansing technique
*Learning uses of symbols such as: Beaming techniques -
sending , manifesting goals, the use of colours in Reiki practice,
* delving deeper into the understanding of Chakra system and energy work.
*Learning the use of the Pendulum in Chakra balancing. Pendulums will be made available for you or you can bring your own! Fun stuff!!
*Practice Reiki sessions using symbols
During the weekend, you will recieve two level two attunements, a professional manual and a certificate of completion.
Healthy snacks are provided plus a light lunch on the last day. Please bring your lunch on first day. Let me know if you have any allergies!
A non refundable amount of $50 is required to register on or before May 20. The remainder of payment is due on or before June 8, 2019. Please note that if cancellation occurs, the deposit may be applied to a subsequent training.
