THE GREEN TRAVELLER

In the face of climate emergency, we're asking for your help.
We've won a stack of sustainability awards, but there's one big hurdle to leap:
98% of The Green Gathering's carbon emissions are down to travel.
So we're asking you take at least one step towards becoming a
Green Traveller
We've tons of tips & offers, from affordable trains to freebie Camplight accessories; the joys of packing less to car (or van) sharing, cycling and hiking.

Plus, check the carbon footprint of your travel with Energy Revolution!

Many Thanks to ReFiesta for helping collate the Green Traveller info.
Spring Uprising Festival
On a March weekend as Britain was battered by the tail end of Storm Gareth, in a warehouse on an industrial estate in Bristol, Extinction Rebellion threw a Spring Uprising Festival to train thousands in civil disobedience...
The Green Gathering was invited to curate a Solution Zone, an oasis of hope and practical solutions in the heart of the festival.
Read all about it here.
Rewild The Streets as part of the International Extinction Rebellion from 15 April:
"The Garden is about making the world of our longing on London's streets... if you can contribute with plants, natural materials, or sustainable tech... Get in touch!" - tiana@rebellion.earth

Joining Henge, Mobius Loop, Celtarabia, Dragonsfly, The Don Bradmans, Smiley and the Underclass, Guranfoe, FireFarm, Pattern Pusher, She Robot, Hoopy Frood, Solar Love Society, Hattie Hatstar, Mamatung, Boom Boom Racoon and many more already announced...

Keepers' Brew is psychedelic space rock meets the dance floor, with Greyum May (ex Ozric Tentacles) as part of a trio creating a unique, multi-layered, futuristic sound. Expect PsyBreaks, Trance and Drum n Bass; happy dancefloors; original, ethereal soundscapes.

Jabba Cartel's music is Flamenco/ Drum & Bass/ Trip-Hop with Jazz influences... Sounds that take your mind to faraway places, with breaks and beats to groove to. Compelling, quirky and incredibly listenable they provided the soundtrack to this GG film.

Great Big Feet were too big, too brass, too boogie for the tiny stage we put them on in 2018... So this year listen out for their jump-blues-swing on a stage where we don't have to shush them or push them back on when they fall off! Feel good tunes not to be missed.

Mazula is the musical journey of Vusa and Zoe Mazula; having sold their possessions for a life on the road they go where the music takes them, capturing live music collaborations with a wide variety of international artistes, forming an ever changing musical tapestry: 'Afro-Funky-Gos-Blues'.

The Fecktones will be experimenting with the human need to dance… their Ska Gypsy Folk Balkan Celtic Rave Shanty combo creates a hypnotic vibe demanding movement. Musical misfits out to enjoy themselves, they've taken 300+ year old songs and fecked them up delightfully.

We truly believe The Green Gathering is the BEST value festival around...
and the BEST FESTIVAL of all, full stop!
The Green Gathering is a festival and a community; an immersive, interactive showcase of skill sharing, creative solutions and off grid living... all powered by wind, sun, people and passion.

With an authentically uncommercial, family friendly and transformative experience, we aim to turn people on to community building, co-operation and
low impact solutions.
The festival is produced by Optimistic Trout Productions, a Community Interest Company, and commissioned by the Green Gathering charity (no. 1156593).
