Independent developer and publisher Rebellion today announced an official release date for Sniper Elite V2 Remastered on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
The hotly anticipated remaster of the studio’s 2012 classic will launch on storefronts May 14th. Fans can pre-order Sniper Elite V2 Remastered from today. Boxed editions of Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will be available May 14th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, distributed by Wendros in the Nordics.
Rebellion revealed the news in a brand new graphics comparison trailer, highlighting the extensive work that’s gone into remastering Sniper Elite V2 for modern systems. On top of 4K and HDR support on available platforms, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered features beautifully updated environments, characters, weapons and vehicles, modernized rendering and post-processing effects, enhanced texturing and level geometry, a revamped lighting system, and dozens upon dozens of improvements and refinements. In addition to visual upgrades, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered introduces a brand new frame-by-frame photo mode, seven new playable characters from Rebellion’s Zombie Army series, expanded multiplayer for up to 16 players online**, and all the additional content ever released for the game, FREE. *Xbox digital pre-orders and Nintendo Switch pre purchases available starting April 24th **Multiplayer available for up to 8 players on Nintendo Switch
As announced in a stunning gameplay trailer, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered launches on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch on May 14th. Fans can return to Berlin and revisit an epic campaign set in the final moments of World War 2. Offering stunningly enhanced graphics, 4K resolution* and HDR display*, this is the visually definitive version of Sniper Elite V2. It will introduce new playable characters, a brand new photo mode, expanded online multiplayer for up to 16 combatants*, as well as all the content ever released for the game. Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will be released both digitally and at retail later this year.
