Day 2 of the IHE-Europe Connecatathon Week began with the IHE-Europe Symposium on “Moving forward Digital Health with Cybersecurity”. The cool and ornate meeting room in the Convent of the Jacobins made an ideal setting for this really hot topic. Welcomes from IHE-Europe Co-chairs and from COCIR Secretary General Nicole Denjoy set the scene.

The morning session comprised keynotes about Strategy, New Trends and Security aspects for IHE-Centered deployments. Speakers from the European Commission and international speakers from EU countries were well received with Salvatore Scalzo from the EC connecting remotely from Italy and presenting on Cybersecurity and Medical Device Regulations.

The day continued with presentations from Ben Kokx and Charles Parisot, two well-known industry experts on Cybersecurity, then Slawomir Gorniak from ENISA on their plans for the Cybersecurity Act.

The afternoon session began with a presentation from Yacine Tamoudi from Kereval about Leveraging the IHE Audit Trail for Real-Time Intrusion Detection and ended with two EURO-CAS talks from Eamon Coyne from HSE Ireland and from Karima Bourquard.
The day concluded with the highly valued VIP Tours that will be featured in the next issue of News Pulse.
