What not to do behind the wheel.
When it comes to staying safe behind the wheel, phones get a bad rap—with good reason. You’re four times more likely to crash if you’re using a cell phone, according to the National Safety Council.

But in reality, no distraction is a good distraction—whether it’s talking and texting, eating and drinking, or fiddling with the stereo and navigation system.

Automobile crashes are the leading cause of worker deaths nationwide. In Oregon, distracted driving was a factor in 95 fatalities and 18,429 injuries from 2013 to 2017. Learn more about Oregon’s distracted driving law here.
