The TLCS family has an opportunity to partner with Thrivent Financial to help the needy in our community. This Friday, April 12, from 3:15 PM until the PTL Meeting at 5:30, we will be filling "Care Bags" in the undercroft.
Here's how our Thrivent representative describes the project:
We have completed the shopping for the project and have everything already purchased: 2-gallon ziplock bags, H20 bottles, socks, granola bars, peanut bars, various snack mixes, toothbrushes and toothpaste. We have enough supplies for 60 bags. Each student can take one or two home if they wish and have them available in their family car so that when they see a disadvantaged person on the street corner, the bag of items can be given and hopefully their day can be brightened! Whether assembling the bags or handing them out to a person in need, we can all "live generously" and share with those who could use a helping hand!
Why not join us for chapel at 2:45 PM upstairs in the church, then come downstairs and help put together some care bags? After that you can head on over to the PTL meeting and potluck! Come for some of it, or come for all of it. We'll be glad to see you!
