These two silent demonstrations are to bring light to the discrimination and violence faced by the LGBTQ community. 

Lunch Discussion: 12 - 2 pm, Steger 565
You can bring your lunches as we view a series of videos and engage in a discussion around erasure and discrimination within the queer community, and the importance of support. 
Open Mic Night
Thursday, April 18th, 7 - 9 pm, Catskeller (TUC 100)


Com join the open mic night where you have the chance to voice your beliefs through performances! What does social justice and diversity and inclusion mean to you? 

 
Donate Your Scale!
Doing some spring cleaning and want to get rid of that pesky scale in your bathroom? Donate it to the Women's Center for our upcoming scale smash event! More details on the event to come.

Want to relieve some stress before finals and destroy fatphobia? Come to McMicken Lawn on Thursday, April 5th from 11 am to 2 pm for our Scale Smash! We'll be destroying scales and celebrating ALL bodies! Swing by!

Tyehimba Graduation 
Saturday, May 4th, 2 pm
Fifth Third Arena (Uptown Campus)

What is Tyehimba?
This will be the 28th Afro-centric Graduation Celebration designed for graduates of the University of Cincinnati to acknowledge their achievements. The Celebration is a recognition of graduates and an expression of thanks to the faculty
, staff, family, friends, and the community for their assistance.  The word Tyehimba means “We Stand as a Nation”, and our hope is that you will stand beside us as a participant. This event is open to all colleges, all majors, and all degrees within the university. 
We need you to make the 2019 Tyehimba Graduation Celebration a success, so 
please register by the deadline: Wednesday, April 17th.
Registration is $35 and includes:Certificate; Class Picture; T-shirt; Celebration Tassel. 
Submit your registration information online and pay your registration fee in person via money order or cash in the AACRC. Money Orders can also be sent by mail to the address below and should be addressed as pay to the order of the University of Cincinnati. No personal checks will be accepted.

Apply for Accelerating Racial Justice 2019!

Dates: August 4-9, 2019 
Location: The Hope Springs Institute in Peebles, OH
Cost: FREE to UC students!
Deadline for application: May 10, 2019

Accelerating Racial Justice (ARJ) is a 5-day/4-night summer intensive that focus on an understanding of racial justice and inclusive leadership.

Through full participation in the 5-day program, you will:

  • Develop relationships with 25 other Bearcats from all over the university
  • Enhance your understanding of racial justice and inclusive leadership
  • Build a personal foundation and a supportive community to continue building racial justice and an inclusive leadership community at UC
