  Sharpening focus while building community
This year, the Building Community portfolio will invite organizations to apply for funding through Meyer's Annual Funding Opportunity.

"We’re going to provide funding in the amount of roughly $2.5 million for groups that have a strong track record of work around systems change," said Building Community portfolio director Dahnesh Medora in a recent interview about changes to grantmaking in the portfolio. "These are organizations that will be invited to apply, so we won’t have a broad open funding call. That is the biggest difference that folks in the field are going to notice."

Read the full transcript of the interview with Building Community team members Dahnesh and Erin Dysart, here.
