Funding boost for dried grape industry

The dried grape industry welcomed an exciting funding announcement this week.

Dried Fruits Australia will receive almost $400,000 to advance the growth of the industry across Sunraysia. The three-year project will demonstrate the best practices for achieving consistent yields of 10 tonnes per hectare, while gathering data to back up the findings.

The project will be conducted at vineyards in Red Cliffs, Merbein and Colignan, including two Murray River Organics' properties.

It will be funded under the Federal Government's Murray-Darling Basin Economic Development Program. Agrilculture Minister David Littleproud announced the news in Mildura on Monday (pictured above).
