Join us at the May 27, 2019 Rockies game for a celebration of early childhood families and professionals.  We are partnering with the Colorado Head Start Association for this celebration.

Attention early literacy professionals! CLEL wants to hear from you. They are now accepting conference proposals for their 2019 conference to be held Friday, October 4, at the Arvada Center.

This year, Colorado Libraries for Early Literacy (CLEL) is especially interested in proposals on the following topics:
*Strategic planning, department management, and/or emerging leader issues for early literacy professionals 
*Mentorship of early literacy staff and storytime presenters 
*Evaluating picture books and other children’s media
*Beginning readers and connecting families to kindergarten readiness resources and ideas
*Fabulous failures at your library and how to fail successfully - how did you fail and what did you learn?
*Innovative visual art programs in early literacy and how to implement them
*Early literacy programming for rural and small libraries
*Training for non-children specialists
*Mental and/or physical health issues and helping our patrons
*Non-fiction in storytime
*Discussing race in storytime

In addition, they are always looking for presentations on ECRR2, literacy and brain development research, storytime best practices, great books for storytimes, and more!

The attached Google form has all the details you need. We'll be accepting proposals through July 24th. Please feel free to pass this email along to your interested colleagues, too!

T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® is now accepting application for scholarships starting summer semester for counties outside the Denver Metro Area. If you are interested in obtaining your Early Childhood Credential, Associate or Bachelor Degree, click HERE to download and submit an application.
