Gabriella (Gay) Hansell Hulsey Lynn
Our classmate Gay Hulsey Lynn passed away on April 24, 2019 after an extended illness. We will miss you Gay.
She was predeceased by her parents, Carl Duncan Hulsey and Mary Culp Hulsey and her beloved son, George Gambrill Lynn, junior. Gay is survived by her daughter, Hansell Lynn Boehme and her husband, Robert and their children Henry Sharpe, Charles Hulsey and Holman Gambrill Boehme and her longtime companion Morley Alexander, all of Birmingham. She is also survived by her brother, William Cary Hulsey and his wife Millie of Birmingham and her sister, Carla Hulsey Simmons of Jasper. She was the aunt of Carl Duncan Hulsey II, Marilyn Hulsey Dixon, Mary Simmons Evans and Lee Douglass Simmons Christoferson.
Gay graduated from Shades Valley High School where she was a member of Theta Kappa Delta sorority in which she made many lifelong friends. She then graduated from The International Fine Arts College in Miami, Florida and attended The New School in New York City.
She was a past member of The Junior League of Birmingham and a longtime member of Time Step Studio. She was a member of the Mountain Brook Club. Gay had many friends and especially loved traveling and laughing with the DBDBB's. She was a longtime member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church where her parents were charter members.
A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery on Saturday, April 27 2019 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Red Mountain Garden Club Memorial Garden at The Birmingham Museum of Art (c/o RMGC Assistant Treasurer, 237 Richmar Drive, Birmingham, AL 35213) or to a charity of your choice.

 50th Edition of 1965 Tower
If you were unable to attend the reunion, please open the Reservation Form because there is a place where you can order a copy of the 50th Edition of the 1965 Tower memory book.
There is also a place where you can make a small donation to keep the svhs1965.com website open for the coming years. Any amount you would like to donate will be greatly appreciated. Just add it to your check. Our website gives us a place to view the pictures from all of our reunions as well as to read class news and announcement.
We want to add a website picture gallery of families and friends through the years, not just at reunion time. It will be a great way to keep up with our Shades Valley “family”.
