A heartwarming remembrance
Our season comes full circle as we reprise this powerful work by composer Craig Hella Johnson, recounting the murder of Matthew Shepard, a gay college student in Laramie, Wyoming. Johnson weaves together blues, rock and roll, gospel, and lullaby to reflect the universality of Matthew's story. The UCONN Chamber Singers, conducted by Jamie Spillane, will join CONCORA to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of Matthew's death, and to celebrate the legacy of love and acceptance that arose from the events of October 1998.

Join us at the Thomas Hooker Brewery in Bloomfield on Saturday, May 4th for an upbeat evening on the keyboards with featured entertainers from Savage Pianos. Make song requests, sing along, and dance the night away! Doors open at 6:00 pm with brewery tours available before the show starts at 7:00 pm.

Enjoy some of CT’s finest beers, with food available for purchase from famed Ted’s Steamed Cheeseburgers food truck all night. Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door. You could also be a winner with the purchase of a raffle ticket or two, available for only $5 a ticket! First prize is $500, second prize is $250, and third prize is a pair of CONCORA seasons tickets!
