Public Invited to Tuba Four Concert at North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum

BISMARCK, N.D.–The public is invited to the free music program, "Tuba de Mayo with Tuba Four” at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck. Tuba Four is a brass quartet consisting of two euphoniums and two tubas, the two lowest-pitched brass instruments. This free program will feature folk and patriotic songs, hymns, marches, and compositions specifically written for euphonium-tuba quartet.

Tuba Four offers audiences a variety of musical styles from instruments often heard only in a supportive band or orchestra role. The ensemble consists of Marlin Peterson and Tim Fogderud on the euphonium and Doug Smith and David Candy on the tuba.

This concert is part of the State Historical Society of North Dakota's Sensational Sundays series. Sensational Sundays are free cultural programs that include a variety of lectures, concerts, movies, and tours. For more information, contact Curator of Education Erik Holland at 701.328.2792.
