From the nations, to the nations!

Revive DTS

So Revive Discipleship Training School is 4 weeks in now! We have 5 students:
Cheamay, Aboriginal from the Kimberley and her 4 year old son, Lionel
Beth, from America
Jessica, from America
Declan, half Aboriginal from Australia
Melanie, from Malaysia

Such diversity! From the nations, to go reach the nations!

Quick story:
Cheamay came over to my house for breakfast and to work on homework. She shared with me a vision that God gave her of herself sitting on the sport field, reading the Bible with some of the girls in her community. She is so excited to see the fulfilment of this vision when we go to her community, Noonkanbah, as part of our school outreach!

What has been happening:

These past few weeks have been very active for Revive DTS!

  • We spent a week at an Aboriginal Christian youth camp called Djeran camp where we served 300 meals per day! God really moved among the Aboriginal teenagers while we were there and the DTS students learned alot about spiritual warfare and the power of prayer as we prayed for the campers while we cut onions and cooked meals!
  • Last week we learned about Repentance and Forgiveness. This is a week of lectures where we actually talk about what repentance is, according to the Bible, and the importance of forgiving those who have hurt us. The week ended by all of the students taking time to repent before God for the things that they have done and forgive those who have hurt them. after this emotional time, there was great joy! Cheamay, the Aboriginal student, wrote in her journal that she feels like a huge burden has been lifted from her. There is so much freedom in these students now!
  • Now, currently, this week, we are in the "Nature and Character of God" week in lectures and have been learning alot about who God is, and about our identity as well!
So excited for our 9 weeks in the Kimberley region of Western Australia! I've been to this region of Australia two times now and I can't wait to revisit the places I've been and see new faces as well.
We will be going to several small communities and towns with populations ranging from 400 people to a couple thousand!
One of these small Aboriginal communities that we will be visiting, Noonkanbah, is Cheamay's home town!

We will be 4wding and camping for alot of our time in the Kimberley!
Our second outreach location is Papua, Indonesia!

In this place, the culture is typically very similar to Aboriginal culture; it is a tribal culture that highly values family, food, and the spiritual realm.

We will be working with a YWAM base in the capital city, Jayapura, working in churches, villages, prisons, and anywhere else that we can bring the truth of Jesus and practical help!

My hope is that we will even be able to come in contact with some of the unreached people groups that live in the region we will be staying!
Please pray about supporting me and my team as we go into the nations to bring the Good News to our brothers and sisters in tribal nations!

Because of the lengthy 9 weeks in the Kimberley, the necessity of a 4WD vehicle to access the remote communities, and the high cost of food due to the remoteness of the area, the total cost of the outreach is around $6000 AUD.

Whether a one time gift, or monthly support, or even considering raising the amount of support monthly... anything helps! As a school we will be doing carwashes and other fundraisers to raise the finances, and we are trusting God's provision, but I would love to have you partner with us in this call to the nations!

I am so thankful for your prayer and financial support! Let me know how I can be praying for you!
