PAL is tomorrow:
 Sign in at the office and grab a visitor pass when you arrive and then meet your child in the cafeteria. For more information please click here. The future PAL dates are 5/31, 6/7. Please add your name to the waitlist if your grade is full. Also please remember that you cannot give your spot to another family member as individual CORIs must be approved per person. Order Your 2019 Alcott Yearbook TODAY - last day to order: Cost for each yearbook is: $36.00 if ordered by 4/25. The final deadline to purchase is April 25, 2018. Order online at coffeepond.com. The Alcott School Chess Tournament is about to begin!! You won't want to miss out on it. It is a lot of fun and designed for everyone. First tournament game is Thursday, May 2 at 8 a.m. in the Faculty Lounge, Then one game each week, everyone plays, through May 23. On Thursday, May 30, we hand out all the prizes and gifts for everyone in front of classmates and parents. All the details can be found in the flyer. Hope to see you there! The Alcott Chess Club.

15th Annual Alcott Variety Show: Calling all performers! This year's Variety Show will be held on Friday, May 31st at 6:00pm in the Alcott Auditorium. Audition forms have been sent out and will need to be returned no later than May 1st. Due to the popularity of the show, any audition forms passed in after May 1st cannot be accepted. The bi-annual Staff Appreciation Luncheon is Tuesday, May 21, 2019 @ 12:30 pm in the Alcott School cafeteria. Please help out by contributing a food item whether it be a salad, entree or dessert (you CAN use nuts in your ingredients). We have listed teacher favorites and meal suggestions, based on past luncheons, to insure little to no waste. We know people are very busy, so please consider making a FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION if you don't have time to make/bring a food item for the luncheon. Just drop off the contribution in the Staff Appreciation box in the teachers mailbox room to the right of the office or send in an envelope to school with your child marked "Teacher Appreciation Luncheon". Make checks payable to Alcott PTG. We would like to have contributions by Friday, May 17, 2019. If you miss the deadline, not to worry, we will not turn away donations received after that date.You may drop off your food items in the cafeteria after 9 a.m. and before 11:45 p.m. on the day of 1the luncheon, Tuesday, May 21, 2019. We do not have use of ovens, so any food that needs to be served warm should be dropped off closer to 11:45 p.m. in cafeteria. Come and Celebrate Ms. Young! Please join us to celebrate our principal Ms. Sharon Young on Thursday afternoon May 23rd from 3:45-5:00. All parents, children and community members are welcome to join us for light refreshments in the Alcott cafeteria to say best wishes to Sharon on her retirement. In lieu of gifts, we will be collecting funds to start the Sharon Young Scholarship Fund. Sharon travels extensively with her family each summer and the fund is being established to help CCHS students in need of financial support travel on school trips. These experiences can be life changing for kids and Sharon is excited for the opportunity to continue to help kids in Concord, Carlisle and Boston with educational travel opportunities at CCHS. Please pass along to any friends, neighbors, teachers or community members. If you are not able to attend and would like to donate you can send a check made payable to Concord Carlisle Regional School District with the Sharon Young Scholarship Fund in the memo line and send into the Alcott office.

Field Day Volunteers Needed! Mr. Gaudreau is in need of volunteers to help with our annual all school field day. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 9-12. Volunteers can meet in the Alcott gymnasium by 9 am. This wonderful day of activity depends on our volunteers. Please contact Mr. Gaudreau via email tgaudreau@concordps.org by Tuesday, May 28. Thank you in advance for helping to make our field day such a success. 

Spring has sprung on the Alcott grounds! Thank you to everyone who contributed to the daffodil fundraiser by purchasing or planting bulbs and to Holly Pompe van Meerdevort for planting the cheerful pansies at the school entrance. Alcott Garden Committee

Spring Fundraiser for the Student Garden Project: Please consider ordering pizza dinner from the Flatbread Company on Tuesday, May 7 between 5:00 and 9:00 pm: 213 Burlington Rd, Bedford (781) 275-8200. The Flatbread Company will donate to Alcott Student Garden Project, $3.50 for each large flatbread and $1.75 for each small flatbread sold during the benefit hours. Dine-in and take-out orders will count. Thank you for your support!

Save the dates! May 10th: Ride your bike to school accompanied by safe cycling advocates from the Concord-based Monsters cycling club.
