Discipling the Nations

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Teaching in Guatemala

The month of April began with David traveling to Guatemala City and teaching in the combined DTS (Guatemala City & Antigua) on Spiritual Warfare. The 2 schools have a combined 5 students representing the United States, El Salvador, and Guatemala. They were a small group, but one that was also very hungry to learn more about how Spiritual Warfare affects their life each and every day. It was a great honor to be able to go and be used by God to pour into their lives.
One of the common themes that kept coming up throughout the week was "Jesus is the Standard. This may seem obvious, but in our day to day living, we tend to forget this extremely important key in Spiritual Warfare. We try so hard sometimes to remove the darkness from the world around us, however, Jesus makes it clear in His word that just simply holding to His teachings and walking closely with Him will prevent us from ever having to walk in darkness. Everything must point to Him in regards to how we respond to the enemy and how we deal with the warfare that takes place in our every day lives.

Serving at Easterfest

This past weekend our home church held a community outreach called Easterfest! The heart of the outreach was to touch the surrounding communities with the love of Christ through family oriented games and events. Hundreds of people came out for the event! Juli was able to use her creativity through painting of faces, while also sharing the gospel through a simple and magical demonstration. William also volunteered in the obstacle course while David served in the "Sumo Race". After all was said and done, it was clear that this event was a huge success. In fact, one visitor even made a comment and how wonderful it was to see the local congregation working so hard and with so much joy on such a big event! For us as a family, it was an honor to serve our local community is such a practical way!
