DifferentBrains.org is the 501(C)(3) nonprofit dedicated to ALL neurodiversity!

Different Brains​' neurodiverse team produces media (including videos, podcasts, blogs, books, and documentaries) and provides free resources for all neurodiverse conditions — intellectual and developmental differences, neurological problems, and mental health challenges — while highlighting the people making a difference and directly mentoring the next generation of self-advocates​. Join us as we share the voices for acceptance, inclusion, awareness, education, employment, and equality from around the world!
IN THIS ISSUE:

Autism self-advocate Marcie Ciampi M.Ed. discusses neurodiversity in the workforce; Darlene Lancer, JD, MFT looks at how need fulfillment affects our happiness; Pamela Minelli of Els for Autism shares the role a canine played for her son on the spectrum; UK access and technology expert David Bane highlights the benefit of universal design; educator and musician Joseph Lento shares his project to honor specially abled performers; legal experts (Judge Ginger Lerner-Wren, Dr. Lori Butts, attorney Carol Weinman, and more) comment on how the law interacts with our different brains; and much more!
 

A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER, HACKIE REITMAN, M.D.:

Different Brains Inc. is proud to announce the addition of three terrific new board members! First is Haley Moss - Haley is an author, artist, autism self-advocate, and recently made headlines as the first openly autistic attorney in Florida. To get to know a bit more about her be sure to check out her Exploring Different Brains interview here, and her Spectrumly Speaking interview here. Then, there is Anita Mitchell Anita is the mind behind BrowardPeople.com, and before that spent 26 years as a news producer for TV station WSVN-7 here in South Florida. She is a real powerhouse in the community, and is helping Different Brains reach new heights! And finally we have Debbi Siegel - Debbi has been a dedicated volunteer here at Different Brains headquarters, and pulls from her experience with local charitable causes to make sure we are reaching our community to the best of our ability!
