"Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime;
it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms.
He gives showers of rain to all people,
and plants of the field to everyone."

Science Zone
By Glen Wahlman,
GSAA Science Teacher
Earth Science continues its study of fossils learning about the different kinds of fossils and how they can testify to the Bible as a true and accurate story of our world.
Biology 2 is finishing up its unit on protozoans.  Due to all the rain we were able to find some fungi growing on the new leaves of a Crab-apple tree.  Under the microscope we could see the hypha that make the fungi's structure.
This week we are saying good-bye to Peaches, our education kitty.  She has been her at GSAA since August.  She was a pleasant addition to the classroom and a friend to students. She is returning to the shelter to be adopted by her forever family.  We will miss her cute face.

Spiritual Note
----------------------------
"The apostle's words of warning to the Corinthian church are applicable to all time and are especially adapted to our day. By idolatry he meant not only the worship of idols, but self-serving, love of ease, the gratification of appetite and passion. A mere profession of faith in Christ, a boastful knowledge of the truth, does not make a man a Christian. A religion that seeks only to gratify the eye, the ear, and the taste, or that sanctions self-indulgence, is not the religion of Christ. "

E. G. White
The Acts of the Apostles, p. 317

Green Wheat

The heads of green wheat in our logo bring to mind growth towards sustenance and abundance that is not complete yet. Our GSAA students are growing, too, in all areas of their lives...intellectually, spiritually, socially, and physically.

At The Campus Bakery, we are working to equip our young people with real-life vocational skills that will allow them to gain independence and be of service to others throughout their lifetimes. Our purpose is to provide a safe learning environment that

 Identifies and nourishes our teens’ talents

 allows them to grow by experiencing challenges and triumphs in the work-place

 strengthens their relationships with our GSAA families, our alumni, and our neighbors
