BULLSEYE PROJECTS
Diego Perrone
Bullseye Projects is pleased to present a cast glass sculpture by Italian artist Diego Perrone. UNTITLED is part of Perrone's Self Portraits series and will be on view at Bullseye Projects from April 30 to May 4, 2019.
Perrone’s practice explores existential questions that relate to our antagonistic relationship with nature and the struggle inherent to the creative process. He often utilizes the Italian countryside as a metaphorical backdrop for a greater human drama, drawing on elements from local rituals and archaic symbols in order to create unsettling contemporary allegories.
Diego Perrone is the winner of the third edition of Italian Council, a competition conceived by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Art and Architecture and Urban Peripheries (DGAAP), an organization of the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities that promotes Italian contemporary art in the world. With the support of DGAAP and Museo Nazionale Romano, the sculpture will also travel to the Italian Cultural Institute, Brussels, Belgium, and Kunstmuseum St.Gallen, Switzerland.

BULLSEYE PROJECTS
Immaterial
Through June 1, 2019
Immaterial, Emily Endo's second solo exhibition at Bullseye Projects, continues the artist's interest in the intersection between science and mysticism. This intersection manifests in the myriad myths and stories that have historically been used to explain natural phenomena. In her previous work, Endo turned her attention to outward change, the transformation of the environment in particular. For Immaterial, Endo looks inward, incorporating the female form and elements of body modification, referencing both the inevitable change of the self through time and yearning for metamorphosis and transcendence.
Immaterial is funded in part by the Regional Arts & Culture Council.

BULLSEYE RESOURCE CENTER BAY AREA
A Silent Narrative of a Forgotten America
Through July 20, 2019
Bullseye Resource Center Bay Area Gallery presents a solo exhibition of cast glass and mixed media sculpture by Cassandra Straubing.
Cassandra Straubing re-creates artifacts and accoutrements of labor, to evoke narrative and symbolic representations of the individuals whose lives are invisible to those who wield power or privilege. The garments of workers or the fruits of their labor are re-created in cast glass and arranged in poetic combinations, simultaneously telling personal stories while asking the viewer to consider the larger socio-economic systems in which we participate.
