A plant whose virtues have not been discovered?

At least when it comes to maintaining property values and reducing the risk of wild fires, we would disagree with Ralph Waldo Emerson's take on weeds. All that wonderful rain we received has issued in a bumper crop of weeds this spring, and weed abatement is now a top priority—and a legal requirement for some of us. Also, while not a fire hazard, ice plant that grows over the curb into the street is unsightly and obstructs drainage.
It's that time of year! The CEPOA board of directors is made up of three positions: president, vice president, and secretary-treasurer. The term of office is one year and begins July 1, 2019. If you are interested in serving in one of these positions, or would like to suggest someone, write to cepoamembership@gmail.com or contact a member of the Nominating Committee: Trish Bartel, Gary Walker, or Jay Devore.

Breath, and ease off the pedal.

We're all in a hurry to get where we're going, and it's easy to find ourselves charging up or down Travis or Rodman and exceeding the speed limit without even realizing it.

Don't cut those corners.

You don't want to take out a neighbor enjoying a stroll, but who happens to be out of sight, just around that corner.
