The Radnor Democrats for school board received the endorsement of the Radnor Democratic Committee at the Radnor Democrats monthly meeting in March. There are 5 Democratic candidates running for school board in 2019: Amy Goldman, Jeff Jubelirer, Nancy Monahan, Bradley Moore and Liz Duffy.

Amy Goldman
Incumbent Candidate

Amy is seeking her second term as a member of the Radnor Township School District Board of
School Directors. Prior to her Board service, she held multiple volunteer leadership positions in
the District, including as President of the Radnor Middle School PTO and as Founder and
Chairperson of the Radnor Township School District PTO District Wide Initiatives program that
includes the annual Radnor Speaker Series. Amy was also a member of the Radnor Educational
Foundation’s Grants Committee and Board of Directors. On the School Board, Amy is currently in her second year as Chair of the Policy Committee and third year as Co-Chair of the Government Relations/Communications Committee. She has also served on the District’s Technology Integration, Strategic Planning, and School Counseling Advisory Committees. Amy is Co-Chair of the Delaware County School Boards Legislative Council and in September of 2018 was elected as a PA School Board Association (PSBA) Sectional Advisor to 97 school districts across nine counties in southeastern PA.
Amy has enjoyed the privilege of serving the Radnor community in this capacity and believes
that the leadership Team of Ten has made great strides in school governance over the past four
years. Amy is energized by her work on behalf of Radnor students and eager to see several
critical long-term initiatives through to fruition as a result of the current positive momentum in
the District.
Amy and her husband Jim live in Villanova and are the proud parents of a 2017 Radnor High
School graduate and a senior at The Haverford School. Earlier in her career, she was an account
executive in television advertising sales, most recently for 6ABC. Amy holds a BA from the
University of Pennsylvania and in June 2018 completed a fellowship with Pennsylvania’s
Educational Policy Leadership Center.

Jeff Jubelirer
Jeff and his wife, Tracey, a pediatric oncologist with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, have
lived in Radnor for 12 years and are the proud parents of two daughters who respectively
attend Radnor Elementary and Radnor Middle School. Widely recognized as one of the top communications strategists in Greater Philadelphia, Jeff brings unparalleled expertise in issue & crisis management and public policy advocacy with his work as Vice President of Bellevue Communications. Jeff also serves as an adjunct professor teaching public relations at Villanova University. Actively engaged in the community, Jeff serves on the Board of Eluna (formerly The Moyer Foundation) and the Department of Political Science Alumni Board of Visitors at his undergraduate alma mater, Penn State University. In addition, Jeff enjoys volunteering as a coach for his daughter’s Radnor Youth Basketball team. Jeff is ready to lend an experienced voice locally and in
Harrisburg to advocate for the best interests of Radnor students, families, educators and
residents. He will enthusiastically support continued educational excellence in Radnor’s public
schools while recognizing the importance of maintaining responsible fiscal stewardship of the District’s limited financial resources.

Nancy Monahan

15 years of product and strategic marketing experience in the healthcare industry, including
J&J, Dermik Laboratories and BD. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Eastern
University. She is currently a stay-at-home parent. Nancy is a strong advocate of public
education having attended public school in the metro NY area. She is a product of parents who
were both public school educators, serving as a school librarian and an assistant superintendent
of schools. With her thoughtful dedication to building upon Radnor’s commitment to education
excellence among our schools, and her business acumen to ensure the district maintains fiscal
responsibility, Nancy is eager to further serve the Radnor community as a member of the
Radnor School Board.

Bradley Moore

Bradley grew up in Rosemont and graduated from Radnor High School in 1996. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Michigan Law School. With two of his own children in Radnor public schools and another expected to join them, Bradley is invested in the success of our district for all students and the good of our community.
Bradley’s Radnor community engagement has included service on the Radnor Township School
District Citizens Advisory Committee, as the Education Liaison of the League of Women Voters
of Radnor Township, on the Board of Governors for the Radnor High School Scholarship Fund,
as a member of the Radnor Committee for Special Education, and on the Executive Board of the
Radnor Elementary School PTO.
As an attorney and a former high school teacher, Bradley values the work of the educators in
Radnor schools and will seek to continue responsive and professional governance on the Board of School Directors.  With all that Radnor schools have done for Bradley and his family; he is
eager to serve and to ensure that the Radnor Township School District continues to thrive for years to come.

Liz Duffy
Liz is seeking her first term as a member of the Radnor School Board. Liz and her husband,
Kevin, are the proud parents of four children. Their daughter is a 2017 graduate of Radnor High
School and their three boys are currently in 12th, 8th and 5th grade; giving her the unique
perspective of being up close to all levels of the Radnor educational experience: high school,
middle and elementary.
Liz is a strategic thinker with a collaborative style, built from over fifteen years working as a
marketing and advertising professional in Manhattan and Philadelphia. She is currently a stay-at-home parent who is an active school and community volunteer; including Radnor Post Prom,
Radnor Residents for Gun Safety, Radnor Educational Fund, and religious education teacher. Liz holds a BA in Economics from Boston College where she graduated with honors. Liz is a big
believer in the power and potential of great public schools, for both students and the
community at large. If elected, she will bring a thoughtful, independent voice and a passion for
educational excellence for all students. She will put the time in to understand the issues, and
contribute to good board governance through active engagement, collaboration and fiscal
prudence: each energetically pursued with an overarching commitment to academic excellence
and students’ emotional/social well-being to benefit all of the Radnor community.

FROM THE CHAIR:

Things are moving along as expected in advance of our Municipal Primary Election on May 21st.
In Radnor, our candidates for commissioner and school board have all been endorsed by the committee. County-wide, our candidates for district attorney, county council and common pleas court have received endorsements by the county committee. Fundraising is now a priority, since we need to prepare for the November General Election.
We have two fundraisers coming up in Radnor Township soon:

On Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 6 to 8 pm, Diane Edbril will be hosting a fundraiser at her home (205 Spruce Tree Road, Radnor) for Jack Stollsteimer,Democratic candidate for Delaware County District Attorney. While Jack has no primary opponent, he needs to raise money for a tough general election campaign to become the first Democrat elected as District Attorney in Delaware County since before 1875!  This looks like the year we will break through and win this seat.
On Sunday, May 12, 2019 from 3:30 to 5:30 I will be hosting an event for Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney at my home (238 Chamounix Road, St. Davids). Jim and I have been friends for more than 40 years, since even before I was first elected Democratic Committee person at age 20, in South Philadelphia in 1978.  We both worked together in South Philly’s 39th Ward until I moved to Radnor in 1987. Jim does have Primary Election opponents and needs to raise money to win. He has done a great job in Philly and I hope we get a big turnout to help him.
