Spring Renewal!
It is that time of year when Bay Area Barns and Trails (BABT) asks for your support. Our ability to assist future projects depends on YOUR involvement. Please join up!

There are many reasons to support BABT, here are just a few examples...

• BABT’s Grant Program helps equestrian organizations preserve and maintain horse facilities and trail amenities on public lands.
• BABT’s Grant Program supports fundraisers that benefit trails and promote equestrian trail use.
• BABT’s Grant Program assists volunteer based projects that build and maintain multi-use trails.
 • BABT’s Grant Program supports equine related public education and research projects.
Since 2000, BABT has helped preserve and maintain parks and public open space, equestrian facilities, trails and trailheads by awarding approximately $330,000 in grants to land trusts, agencies and/or equestrian organizations.

Grant Updates

Reminder: Applications are due for BABT's next Grant cycle by May 1. Learn more about our Grant Program.

2019 Ridge to Bridge Event: Did you know this successful Ridge Trail fundraiser was started by BABT's founder, Barbara Weitz? The first ride in 1989 had 98 equestrians and 42 cyclists! Although weather was a factor, this year only 8 equestrians signed up for the ride. For many years BABT has co-sponsored this event and assisted with equestrian support. We hope for more equestrians next year!

Please Join BABT!
One of BABT’s important goals is to grow public support within the equestrian community. Our capacity to support projects comes from partnering with other organizations and individuals, like YOU!

Your participation will make possible the continuation of BABT's efforts to protect and preserve our horse culture by supporting projects of Bay Area equestrian organizations, landowners and land managing agencies.
