Happy Earth Day!
April 22, 2019
Today is the official Earth Day - complete with April showers - but celebrations and cleanups continue into the next weeks. Check the complete calendar or the special Earth Day/Arbor Day Calendar for fun and helpful things to do.
I had a last-minute opportunity to join a tour of ancient archaeological sites in Peloponnese, Greece and southern Italy for the last two weeks. It was quite a strenuous trip, and preparing my usual newsletter was impossible. We hardly had time to sleep sometimes! Not an ideal time for me to be away, but I'm glad I did it!

I'm going to spend extra time adding events this week rather than produce a complete newsletter. So please just check the Calendar occasionally this week. A good friend helped out while I was gone by publishing events that were submitted, but I have more events to add from the random collection of emails I receive, plus the summer farmers markets are beginning soon, and there are bird walks every day in May to add. Check back again later in the week for additions, and if the jet lag subsides enough, I may get a regular email out later this week!
FYI - Remember the Ongoing Calendar has the link to numerous Save the Bay shore cleanups through at least August.
