Community Concert - Joshua T. Merello
Saturday May 18th - 2 PM
Join the library for another Outdoor Community Concert with Joshua T. Merello. Joshua is a classical guitarist from the Kansas City area.
Please bring lawn chairs. Concert is free and will be held inside the library in the event of rain.
 
Hoopla Limited to 3 Downloads per Month
Effective May 1st due to the per download cost charged by Hoopla to provide eBooks, streaming and downloadable audiobooks, comic books, TV shows and movies, and the services overwhelming success we are adjusting the monthly check-out cap to 3 per month. This will ensure that all patrons can continue to access Hoopla resources through the library for the entire year.

The library offers a variety of other streaming and downloadable resources with your library card, such as OverDrive audio and eBooks, RBdigital audio and eBooks, and more. Visit our Databases page to see if they offer you additional content to fill the gap.

Beyond Organic Farming with Green Grass Farms
Tuesday May 7th @ 6:30 PM

Come learn about one family’s journey to “Beyond Organic” – raising pastured animals in a way that is motivated by wise stewardship instead of a checklist. When Matt and Tracy Moore’s special needs son was transitioned to a Real Foods diet, they not only saw improvement in his smile, but also started pursuing the idea of healthier living for all. Hear their story, a few “farm funnies” and some intriguing facts about what it takes to go “Beyond” in the food industry.


Jesse James in Iowa & Nebraska

The notorious Jesse James typically isn’t thought of in connection with Nebraska and Iowa... but he was here. Nebraska and Iowa were where the outlaw could find family and friends. It was where he could plan amazing robberies, make a recovery or an escape, and even sit for his most famous photograph. Jeff Barnes shares what’s known of the truth, the fiction, and the legend of Jesse James in Nebraska and Iowa.
