Can a Capstone Help Your Organization?

RIT’s Executive MBA Capstone program has been helping companies solve problems and tackle new opportunities since 1992.  From business process reviews to diversification initiatives and market opportunity analyses, EMBA student teams have helped local, national, and international firms make data driven decisions to improve company performance or chart new strategic directions.

Projects are completed over 4-to-5 months, and generally include a strong primary market research component such as customer, prospect, or employee surveys, focus groups, and individual interviews.  Capstone submissions are reviewed for rigor and relevance, and teams then select from among the qualified projects.  There is no charge for capstone projects.

How can your company benefit from a capstone project?

Emerging Leaders
By Carolyn Scott

This years’ 2019 students of Leadership Rochester’s Emerging Leaders are on the move.  Last week they started with a retreat at St. Mark and St. John’s Episcopal Church.  The church reaches out in many ways. It provides gardens, a food shelf, a place to study and receive tutoring, and so much more.  There we listened to the inspiring life story of Mr. Adrian Hale. Mr. Hale is the Strategic Initiatives Manager at Rochester Chamber of Commerce.  We were all so touched about his life moving from Rochester and going on to graduating from Yale.  He is also a member of LR 2019.

This week we walked the Neighborhood of the Arts where we visited the Out Alliance. From there we went to the Children Awaiting Parents with Lauri McKnight, Executive Director. Students saw what leadership looks like in our communities. They learned about the many hats one organization can wear. They also got a visit from Nancy Johns-Price Executive Director of the City of Rochester Neighborhood Service Center and learned about the many hats she wears. Next week it’s on to exploring the different types of power at the Public Safety building.
