MAY MEETING

………………………………………

We need a chance to vent and decompress!  Join us Wednesday, May 8, 6-8 pm for happy hour and some food from Dan’s Van (Southern Comfort Food) at Odell Brewing.  Let’s discuss the Mueller Report (take a look - it’s pretty juicy), Democratic primaries and anything else on your mind.  Come enjoy a beer, local food and the company of like-minded people.

THE MUELLER REPORT

………………………………………

We read the report and we believe it is the duty of the House to start impeachment hearings.  Donald Trump has committed numerous impeachable offenses, including obstruction of justice, breaking immigration law, and violating the emoluments clause of the Constitution. Take action by telling your representative (Neguse or Buck) to support Rep. Tlaib’s impeachment resolution.

COLORADO LEGISLATION

………………………………………

The Colorado Legislative session is winding down, but we still need to make one final push to get some bills passed and funded.  Not sure who is your state representative or state senator?  Now is a great time to find out!

HB19-1261: Climate Action Plan to Reduce Pollution proposes greenhouse reduction targets of 26% by 2025 and 50% by 2030.  Urge your senator to support this important bill. We will not get a second chance to reduce the impact of climate change!

HB19-1257: Retain Revenue For Education & Transportation. This bill is a referendum that will be submitted to voters in November 2019. We mustn't waste this opportunity to roll back TABOR, which has crippled education and infrastructure funding in the state for decades. Let your senator know you support HB19-1257.

HB19-1032: Comprehensive Human Sexuality Education passed through the House and Senate.  Now we need to get it funded, so ask your senator to fully fund this bill!

Request from Jena Griswold, Secretary of State:  HB19-1318, The Clean Campaign Act of 2019, needs support.  Please ask your senator to support this bill.

Thank you for all that you do!
