Our Impact

Louis Rolfe MBE (Para Cycling) – “My GLL award has provided me with access to excellent gym facilities near my home in Cambridge to train and follow my strength and conditioning programme set by British Cycling. I have been proud to promote the GLL Sport Foundation and feel really honoured to be supported  and hope to continue onwards. I am focusing my efforts on improving my  bronze medal position and holding onto the Paralympic championship position in the Team sprint event in Tokyo 2020. There is lots of training to be done on the track to Tokyo and the support of GLL will help me immensely on my journey.”

Cherrelle Brown (Boxing) – “I have been boxing for five years now and I would not have been able to compete at the level that I have without the support of GLL and their facilities. In 2016 I was once again invited to represent my country on the English boxing team. During that time I was able to secure the Elite Amateur Boxing Championship (ABA) title. Without the funding of GLL I would not have been able to buy the necessary equipment and go to England Boxing training camps in Sheffield. With GLL sponsorship I have also been able to attend athlete events hosted by GLL as an ambassador. At these events I was able to inspire young and competing athletes with my story - this was both motivating and humbling for me.”

Lutalo Muhammad (Taekwondo) – “I am a two time Taekwondo Olympic Medalist and World Grand Prix Champion and I am passionate about sport. Sport is the ultimate equaliser and when organised it demonstrates some of life’s oldest and purest qualities. It lowers life’s many barriers and delivers opportunities, to those in need, those at the margins of society.
As a GLL Sport Foundation ambassador I have done numerous corporate speeches and workshops which I thoroughly enjoy and hope to continue to do to advance Olympic Sports and an active purpose filled lifestyle. I take great pride in being a member of Team GB, the greatest team in the world and will continue to promote Team GB's successes as an ambassador. I do recognise that my Olympic success has given me a fantastic platform and I would be delighted to use it to encourage and support my fellow athletes, and those interested in sport as a GSF Ambassador.”
